各片段文字描述(点图可下载动画片段）：1)Herpes simplex virus (HSV) gains entry through abraded skin or mucosal tissue.单纯疱疹病毒通过破损皮肤或粘膜组织进入人体。
The genital herpes virus invades the body through a vulnerable area of skin or mucous membrane.
Once inside the human cell, the viral DNA is released, tricking the cell into copying the
DNA and allowing the virus to multiply.
2)HSV is adept at penetrating the dermis and reaching the nerve pathways.单纯疱疹病毒很熟练地穿透皮肤并进入神经链路。
The virus leaves the skin cell and travels up nerve pathways until it reaches the ganglion.
It can remain there in an inactive or latent state until it is triggered.

When triggered, commonly by stress, menstruation or fever the virus replicates and travels
back along the nerve to the skin surface.
There, it can cause blisters or other symptoms, and the virus is released during the outbreak.

Sometimes, even without genital herpes symptoms, the virus can be released to infect a sexual partner.

Valaciclovir works by selectively targeting host cells that have been invaded by the virus.
Valaciclovir blocks the replication of the virus, preventing its spread into healthy cells.
